The perfect little girls room

I want to decorate our daughter's bedroom in shabby chic style. I'm sourcing a colour for the walls at the moment and looking to buy second hand furniture and shabby chic it.

I've never done this before but I'm sure it can't be that hard.

I would have loved a bedroom like this growing up!

A love of Duck Egg Blue

I absolutley love the colour! The walls that will be painted Duck Egg Blue are: Laundry, kid's playroom, lounge, dining and a feature wall in the master bedroom.

The slab has been poured!

We drove past this afternoon and this is what we found. First photo is taken from the front. Second photo is looking towards the kids bedrooms, playroom and their patio and third bedroom is taken from the back. I love the size of our patio!

Our selections

Kitchen to look like the photo above but only the colour selections not the layout. We will be having a gallery style kitchen, the upper cupboards will have a bulkhead above them and the rangehood will be a under cupboard one so it won't be visable

The look we are after for the bathrooms, the tiles will be layed the same way. Of course the kids bathroom won't have a window as big as this, I wish.

Plumbing

Drove past the property today and saw they had started on the plumbing. They also are getting the ground ready for the slab.

Start of form work

They started the form work today, they should have started a few days ago but the rain hasn't stopped. It's starting to take shape!

Clearing of the land

Monday this week they started clearing of the land, it looks so big now! You can see our neighbour has raised his land by about 500, he is paying for a retaining wall the entire length of the property
